49ers?! WTF?!

49ers. San Francisco. Those words are usually associated with one another. However, it is soon going to be 49ers and Santa Clara. Recently, about a month ago, there was a article on the San Jose Mercury News about the San Francisco 49ers possibly moving to Santa Clara. The problem started when many other teams started receiving new stadiums from their respective cities. San Francisco, wanting to bid for the 2016 Olympics, decided to talk to the 49ers to rebuild the Candlestick Stadium so that it can bring in new revenue for the city as well as the franchise. However, negotiations went south because the San Francisco 49ers decided that there are too many traffic problems in that area and wanted to build elsewhere. The 49ers then changed their focus from San Francisco to Santa Clara because the 49ers training facility is there as well. The columnist is absolutely correct in criticizing the San Francisco 49er's management decisions. The columnist points out many flaws in the currently team President Jed York's decisions in moving to Santa Clara. As stated in the article, there are many other options besides moving 40+ miles away from San Francisco to Santa Clara. The 49ers can also check out Hunter's Point. The 49ers can also retry negotiations to refurbish Candlestick Park. I don't know why the 49ers have to make it so complicated in such a hard economy. There are so many ways to solve this problem.
