Avocate+Duh=Avodah
Avodah is a Jewish Service Corps. From the reading of the website, I believe that they are a community service group. They recruit Jews in their 20s from overseas to spend a year to help work on urban poverty issues. The Avodah group are trying to help other people through religion. They are trying to get a cause through. That is what advocacy is. I think everything can relate to advocacy in one way or another. Especially religious affiliations, practices, and beliefs because your religion can shape the way you act towards a certain subject. For example, my aunt who is a Buddhist loves to help people. Not only out of her heart of gold, but also because her Buddhist ways taught her to help other people to achieve salvation. I think that is what shapes advocacy.
